Hanukkah - Part 1

 

Hanukkah, or Channukah as it is also known, is called the Feast of Dedication. This is not one of the commanded Feasts of the Lord, but it is an important celebration in Jewish history.  The story of Hanukkah celebrates the victory of a small Jewish army of believers over a much larger Greek army as the Jewish people resist being assimilated into the pagan Greek culture of the time. It is the Battle for Torah!
